India, Oct. 9 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a case against a social media user for allegedly spreading false and misleading information on social media platforms, officials said on Tuesday.
According to police, the action followed a complaint received at Police Station Handwara, where it was found that a Facebook post uploaded by Mohammad Yousuf contained fabricated allegations aimed at maligning the reputation of an institution and inciting public unrest in the area.
