Jammu, Aug. 31 -- The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department on Sunday conducted a market inspection in Trikuta Nagar and adjoining areas of Jammu, during which notices were issued to several traders for alleged violations related to consumer protection and Legal Metrology norms.
The inspection was carried out by a departmental team led by Deputy Director F&R Sham Lal Abrol, accompanied by assistant directors and area inspectors, officials said.
During the drive, the team inspected shops and commercial establishments dealing in consumer goods to verify compliance with mandatory provisions such as display of Maximum Retail Price (MRP), product expiry dates, price declarations and other regulatory requirements.
