Kulgam, July 22 -- Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Tuesday reviewed flood preparedness in Kulgam and directed all departments to maintain a high level of readiness in view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions.

Chairing a meeting to assess the district's preparedness for weather-related emergencies and the operational readiness of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the Divisional Commissioner reviewed mitigation measures and response mechanisms across departments.

Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, briefed the meeting on the district's preparedness, outlining department-wise mitigation strategies and the status of relief, rescue and rehabilitation arrangements.
