SRINAGAR, May 8 -- Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review arrangements for the smooth and peaceful celebration of Eid al-Adha across the Kashmir Valley.

During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner directed officials of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply at major religious places, including Hazratbal Shrine, Kalashpora, Jenab Sahab Soura, Ziyarat Sharief Kabamarg, Khiram in Anantnag, Ziyarat Sharief Makhama and Aham-i-Sharief in Bandipora.

He also instructed concerned departments to ensure adequate and uninterrupted supply of potable drinking water and address any water-related issues promptly during the festival period.
