Jammu, April 21 -- Chief Principal Census Officer and Director Census Operations for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Amit Sharma, on Monday chaired separate review meetings in Jammu to assess preparations for Census 2027 in the two Union Territories.
The meetings reviewed fund flow, training, publicity and operational readiness for the upcoming Census exercise.
Reviewing the situation in Ladakh, Commissioner Secretary and Nodal Officer for Census 2027, Laltinkhuma Franklin, informed that funds for Principal Census Officers are expected to be released shortly. He said district-level training of Field Trainers will be completed within the notified timelines.
