POONCH, May 11 -- The District Administration Poonch and Poonch Police on Sunday organised a friendly cricket match at the Sports Stadium under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) to promote fitness, sportsmanship and awareness against drug abuse.
The match, played between DC XI and SSP XI, witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers, officials and spectators. Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma and SSP Shafqat Hussain Bhat also participated in the game, encouraging youth to adopt healthy and disciplined lifestyles.
Batting first, SSP XI posted 149 runs in 20 overs. In response, DC XI successfully chased the target to register an impressive seven-wicket victory.
