Srinagar, May 26 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today met legislators, Vice Chancellors and various delegations at the Civil Secretariat here and discussed a wide range of issues concerning regional development, public welfare, higher education, healthcare and infrastructure, an official press release informed.

It said a delegation of Members of the Legislative Assembly comprising Javid Iqbal (Budhal), Muzaffar Iqbal Khan (Thanamandi), Choudhary Mohammed Akram (Surankote) and Iftikhar Ahmed (Rajouri) called on the Chief Minister and discussed various developmental and public welfare issues concerning the Pir Panjal region.
