India, Oct. 17 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday announced resumption of the traditional Darbar Move - the practice of swapping capital between Srinagar and Jammu cities - after a gap of more than four years. The practice was stopped by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in 2021.

Though the move, in the backdrop of the government's claims of digitalisation and e-governance, sounds stupid, the ruling dispensation has been trying to sell it as a major development.
