Centre says J&K receives Rs.12,665 crore investment proposals under NCSS
NEW DELHI, Aug. 8 -- Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday informed the Rajya Sabha that 918 industrial units have registered under the New Central Sector Scheme (NCSS)-2021 in Jammu and Kashmir with proposed investments of Rs.12,665.47 crore, while the Union Territory has also received three foreign investment proposals worth Rs.500 crore.
The information was provided in reply to a question raised by J&K BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, who sought details on foreign investment proposals, sectors attracting investment and measures taken by the Centre to promote industrial development in the Union Territory.
