Srinagar, Sept. 16 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said the BRICS Summit's condemnation of the Pahalgam terror attack was a success of India's foreign policy.

"The fact that Pahalgam itself was condemned (at the BRICS Summit) is a big thing. Please see how many allies of Pakistan were in that room. Therefore, for even Pahalgam to be mentioned by name, that in itself is a success of our foreign policy," he told reporters here.

In a major diplomatic outcome for India, BRICS condemned the April 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir in its New Delhi Declaration adopted on Saturday and called for zero tolerance towards state-sponsored cross-border terrorism. Twenty-six people were killed in the terror attack.
