JAMMU, Aug. 16 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced that it will hold a protest in Jammu on August 17 against the National Conference (NC)-led government, alleging failure to fulfil election promises and address public grievances.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, chaired by J&K BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma along with BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul.
Addressing the meeting, Sharma alleged that the NC government had failed to deliver on commitments made during the Assembly elections and accused it of neglecting issues related to governance, development, employment and public services.
