JAMMU, July 3 -- The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra authorities have advised pilgrims to undertake the pilgrimage only on their allotted dates, stating that the daily number of pilgrims permitted on the Yatra route has been capped in compliance with directions of the Supreme Court.

In an advisory, the authorities said advance registration had been opened well before the commencement of the Yatra through designated bank branches and online platforms, and most pilgrims had already completed the process.

The advisory noted that Tatkal (on-the-spot) registration slots are extremely limited and urged devotees to travel to Jammu and Kashmir only after securing advance registration.
