Anantnag, Sept. 1 -- Banks in Anantnag district recorded a credit-deposit (CD) ratio of 78.49 per cent as of June 30, 2026, with advances of Rs.7,612.18 crore against deposits of Rs.9,698.49 crore, officials said during a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Monday.

The meeting reviewed the performance of the banking sector for the quarter ending June 2026 and assessed progress under various government-sponsored schemes and the District Credit Plan (DCP).

According to officials, banks disbursed Rs.1,287 crore under the priority sector during the first quarter of 2026-27 against an annual target of Rs.6,804.46 crore, achieving nearly 19 per cent of the target. Lending und...
