SRINAGAR, Sept. 15 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday said it had arrested two field supervisors of the Jammu and Kashmir Women's Development Corporation (JKWDC) for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe from a loan beneficiary.

According to the ACB, the action followed a complaint alleging that Owais Ahmad Khan, a field supervisor with JKWDC, had demanded illegal gratification for facilitating the release of a sanctioned loan of Rs.3 lakh under the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) scheme.

The complainant approached the ACB after allegedly being asked to pay a bribe for the disbursement of the loan amount, the agency said.
