Budgam, July 21 -- Eighty-seven alleged drug peddlers were arrested, properties worth Rs.1.5 crore were attached and six illegal structures demolished during the 100-day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in Budgam, the district administration said on Tuesday.

The campaign, launched across Jammu and Kashmir on April 11, also saw the detention of nine alleged drug offenders under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act. A total of 89 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act were registered during the period, officials said.
