Shopian, Feb. 8 -- Police on Saturday seized nearly 700 litres of illegally stored kerosene oil and diesel in south Kashmir's Shopian district and arrested a person allegedly involved in black marketing of subsidised fuel.
Acting on specific information about the illegal sale of subsidised kerosene in the black market, a police party from Police Station Imamsahib conducted a raid in the Imamsahib area. During the operation, approximately 700 litres of kerosene oil and diesel were recovered from a shop and taken into custody.
The accused was identified as Naseer Ahmad War, a resident of Arwani Bijbehara.
