Awantipora, May 15 -- Police on Thursday seized seven tractors during separate operations against illegal mining and unauthorized mineral extraction in Awantipora.
According to officials, police teams carried out action at different locations as part of the ongoing drive against illegal mining activities.
During routine patrolling, Police Station Tral detected illegal mining activities in the Gamraz area of Tral and seized four tractors involved in unauthorized extraction of minerals.
Similarly, Police Post Reshipora seized three tractors during action against illegal mining in the Reshipora area.
Police said the drive against illegal extraction of minerals will continue across the region.
