Srinagar, March 19 -- The Directorate of Agriculture Kashmir on Thursday concluded a seven-day training programme on scientific beekeeping at the Agriculture Complex, Lalmandi, aimed at promoting apiculture as a sustainable livelihood in the Valley.
The programme, which began on March 13, was inaugurated by Director Agriculture Kashmir Sartaj Ahmad Shah and brought together both existing and aspiring beekeepers from across the Kashmir division.
Designed to strengthen modern beekeeping practices, the training covered key areas including colony management, disease prevention and control, advanced honey extraction techniques, and value addition of hive products.
