SRINAGAR, Aug. 31 -- Police in Baramulla have cracked a theft case with the arrest of three accused persons and recovery of stolen gold jewellery, a police spokesperson informed Sunday.
He said investigating a case of theft of gold jewellery and case in the house of Saleema Begum, wife of Mohammad Akbar Wani of Rangwar, Baramulla, police arrested a suspect Shabir Ahmad Khan of Kanispora.
During questioning, Khan disclosed his involvement in the theft and revealed that the stolen jewellery had been handed over to Ulfat Rather of Pathla, Kanispora. Subsequently, Ulfat was questioned, during which she disclosed that part of the stolen jewellery had been retained at her residence, while the stolen pair of gold bangles had been sold to Gousia ...
