Srinagar, June 12 -- As part of the 'Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan', police in Anantnag have in the first two months of the campaign, registered a total of 172 FIRs under various provisions of the NDPS Act and arrested 156 drug peddlers involved in narcotics trafficking and related activities.

Police in the district have also seized more than 323.5 kilograms of contraband substances and recovered Rs.26,50,000 in cash linked to narcotics trafficking during multiple operations conducted across the district, a police spokesperson informed Thursday.
