SRINAGAR, Sept. 25 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday informed the Legislative Assembly that 33 water supply schemes are currently operational in Trehgam constituency, serving 39 villages, while 15 drinking water projects are being implemented under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) at an estimated cost of Rs.97.71 crore.
Replying to a Calling Attention Motion moved by MLA Mir Saifullah, Jal Shakti Minister Javed Ahmed Rana said 26 of the 39 villages in the constituency have adequate drinking water facilities, while shortages have been reported in 13 villages.
