Baramulla, July 27 -- A 12-member family escaped unhurt after their house collapsed in Barnate village of Boniyar in north Kashmir's Baramulla district following days of heavy rainfall, officials said on Sunday.

The house belonged to Noor Din, son of Ghulam Qadir. Officials said the structure developed severe cracks before collapsing due to continuous rain that had weakened its foundation.

According to officials, all 12 family members were inside the house when cracks appeared. They were evacuated to safety before the structure caved in, preventing any loss of life or injuries.
