Srinagar, Sept. 25 -- As many as 113 development projects worth Rs 245 crore in Jammu and Kashmir are currently held up due to court cases and pending decisions by competent authorities, the government said on Thursday.

In a written reply to a question by BJP MLA from Nagrota Devyani Rana in the legislative assembly, the government said the projects were under status quo owing to decisions pending before courts or competent authorities.

The Roads and Buildings Department accounts for the highest number of such projects at 54, followed by 12 under the Jal Shakti Department and 10 in Higher Education, the government said.
