On October 22, the Multilateral Sanctions Monitoring Team (MSMT) released its second report on the theme of "the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) cyber and information technology (IT) worker activities". On this occasion, the members of the MSMT also released the Joint Statement.

The second report of the MSMT, which primarily covers cases found in the period between January 2024 and September 2025, contains specific information regarding North Korea's cyber activities, including cryptocurrency theft, and its laudering and use, foreign currency earnings generated by IT workers, and information theft.
