TOKYO, Aug. 15 -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan issued the following news release:
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Iwaya Takeshi, will attend the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) in Yokohama from August 20 (Wed) to 22 (Fri).
This year's TICAD 9 is expected to draw numerous participants from African countries, regional and international organizations, private companies, and civil society. Discussions will focus on future initiatives by Japan, Africa and the international community.
