MEETING BETWEEN DEFENSE MINISTER NAKATANI AND HIGH REPRESENTATIVE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND SECURITY POLICY, VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION

TOKYO, July 23 -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan issued the following news release:

On July 23, commencing at 11:15 for approximately 60 minutes, Minister Nakatani held a meeting with H.E. Ms. Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission.

At the outset, Minister Nakatani welcomed HRVP Kallas' visit to Japan. HRVP Kallas conveyed her appreciation to Minister Nakatani for hosting the meeting. Both exchanged their views on regional affairs.
