TOKYO, April 1 -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan issued the following news release:
On April 1, commencing at 4:40 p.m. for 20 minutes, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, held a telephone call with H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait.
At the outset, in light of the current situation in the Middle East, Minister MOTEGI expressed his condolences regarding the casualties and the damage to civilian facilities, including oil facilities in Kuwait, and expressed solidarity with Kuwait and other Gulf nations.
