On May 21, commencing at 1:00 p.m., for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. ONISHI Yohei, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by ABUBAKR Raffa, Director of the Office of the Deputy Minister of Defense of f Libya.

At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI mentioned that Japan recognizes Libya as an important partner, being an energy supplier holding Africa's largest proven crude oil reserves.
