On May 18, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended a symposium titled "Celebrating 70: Japan-UN Cooperation, EXPO 2025, and the Future of Multilateralism" held at the United Nations University, where he delivered a keynote speech.

At the outset, Minister MOTEGI stated that this year marks the 70th anniversary of Japan's accession to the United Nations, and that the history of cooperation between Japan and the UN is also a history of Japan's unwavering commitment to multilateralism.
