Mumbai, July 28 -- The company commissioned 269 MW during the quarter, more than double the level a year earlier.

Suzlon Group reported its highest-ever first-quarter deliveries at 506 MW, up 14 per cent year-on-year, alongside commissioning of 269 MW, more than double the previous year. New order additions reached about 1 GW, including two renewable project developer-led engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) orders from Tata Power and Waaree Group. The cumulative order book stood at nearly 6.1 GW, with 84 per cent from the public sector as well as commercial and industrial customers.

EPC share rose to 32 per cent from 22 per cent a year earlier, in line with strategy. The company launched its S175 (5 MW) platform in India and Europe, securing its first domestic order, and rolled out its 'Suzlon 2.0' strategy with four businesses: RE Tech, RE DevCo, RE Projects and RE AMS.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, said, "Suzlon is stronger than ever, and we are leveraging this to invest in our future. Suzlon 2.0 is underway as we build four strategic growth engines with wind-led renewable energy solutions, strengthen our technology, and focus on long-term customer partnerships. All new growth areas are gaining traction."

Ajay Kapur, CEO, added, "Our strong start to FY2027 reflects disciplined execution across every aspect of our business. We achieved our highest-ever first-quarter deliveries of 506 MW, up 14 per cent year-on-year, while more than doubling our commissioning. With the successful launch of the first FDRE(firm and dispatchable renewable energy)-ready S175 wind turbine and manufacturing now scaled at our Bhuj facility, we are well-prepared to meet future demand."

Rahul Jain, CFO, said, "We delivered a strong top-line performance this quarter, with revenue growing 23 per cent year-on-year, reflecting healthy execution and project deliveries. EBITDA and PAT margins were in line with ongoing developments, given the temporary logistic disruptions arising from the geopolitical situation, certain strategic investments, and change of scope and segment mix."

Suzlon doubled rotor blade manufacturing capacity at Jaisalmer from 630 MW to 1,260 MW by adding two new lines. The expanded 30-acre facility will provide over 1,200 jobs and produce both S144 and S175 blades. The company also achieved a commissioning milestone of 269 MW and advanced execution on the landmark 1.2 GW NTPC project in Gujarat.

Suzlon announced the appointment of Anjali Byce as Group Chief Human Resource Officer, succeeding Rajendra Mehta, who stepped down after four years of service.
