Mumbai, Aug. 29 -- The collaboration combines IndiGo's operational scale and aviation expertise with Sarvam's capabilities across AI models, voice and agentic systems to build a more intelligent, AI-enabled airline.
IndiGo Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of IndiGo, India's largest airline by fleet and market share, has announced an undisclosed investment in Sarvam, India's full-stack sovereign AI company.
The investment, part of Sarvam's Series B funding round, builds on the existing partnership between the two companies, which have been collaborating on customer engagement, employee productivity, and streamlining complex operational workflows using AI. The deal creates a long-term platform for accelerating AI-led innovation and operational excellence at IndiGo.
Sarvam has raised $300 million in its Series B round at a post-money valuation of $1.5 billion, with IndiGo Ventures participating in the latest tranche alongside Nvidia, Gaja Capital and Glade Brook Capital.

The collaboration combines IndiGo's domain depth and operational scale with Sarvam's capabilities across AI models, voice, and agentic systems to create a technology-enabled, future-ready airline infrastructure.

Sarvam builds across training and inference infrastructure, frontier models, and enterprise AI products. Its technology spans text, speech, vision, and documents, designed for secure deployment in complex, high-volume environments.
The two companies will continue to develop and evaluate applications across customer experience, employee productivity, and airline operations, with the ability to expand successful use cases across IndiGo's route network.
