Mumbai, Oct. 6 -- The new services will link Navi Mumbai to key destinations across Maharashtra, the west coast and the Lakshadweep Islands, expanding regional connectivity.
Regional airline FLY91 has added Navi Mumbai to its growing domestic network, becoming the 14th destination served by the carrier after a flight operated by an all-women crew touched down at the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) on Monday.
The new services will connect Navi Mumbai with destinations across Maharashtra, the west coast and the Lakshadweep Islands, offering passengers more options for leisure, business and regional travel. The routes also strengthen NMIA's links with emerging domestic markets and reinforce its role as a gateway for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Navi Mumbai is now FLY91's fifth destination in Maharashtra, with scheduled services connecting the airport to Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Goa (Mopa) and Agatti in the Lakshadweep Islands as part of its winter schedule.
Welcoming FLY91, Subhash Murikenchery, Chief Airport Officer (CAO), NMIA, said, "The four destinations it will connect us with have strong relevance for leisure, tourism and regional business travel. As we continue to expand our network, our focus is on creating meaningful connections that make Navi Mumbai a convenient gateway for passengers across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region."
Manoj Chacko, Founder, Managing Director and CEO, FLY91, added, "We are incredibly proud that FLY91's aircraft has touched down in Navi Mumbai, the gateway to India's financial capital, for the first time earlier today. Two and a half years ago, we started operations with two aircraft connecting three destinations. This winter schedule, we will operate over 350 weekly flights across 14 destinations."
FLY19's entry into Navi Mumbai comes as FLY91 embarks on a major expansion phase. The carrier recently placed a firm order for 40 ATR 72-600 aircraft valued at approximately $1 billion. With deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2032, the order will support FLY91's plan to grow its fleet from six to 60 aircraft.
The Goa-based airline's network now spans 14 destinations, including Goa, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Solapur, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Agatti, Kochi, Hubballi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Tirupati, with NMIA as the latest addition.
Navi Mumbai International Airport has crossed the 3.2 million-passenger milestone since commencing commercial operations on December 25, 2025. Launched with 13 destinations, NMIA now connects passengers to around 43 domestic destinations and has handled more than 25,000 commercial flights since operations began.
