Lesotho, June 24 -- Access to funding remains one of the most critical barriers for small-scale farmers and entrepreneurs in Lesotho. The Smallholder Agriculture Development Project II (SADP II) has developed as a transformative initiative, offering grants that empower women, youth, and community-based enterprises to scale their operations.

Letsibolo Poultry Farm, a leading producer of broiler day-old chicks, demonstrates the impact of SADP II's large grant category (a grant that match for small and medium-sized agri-businesses and lead firms which provides up to M1.5 million). With support, the farm expanded weekly production from 18,000 chicks to an impressive 40,000-50,000 chicks.
