The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is convening a three Days Workshop on Base Revision of State-level Index of Industrial Production (IIP), at Thiruvananthapuram, Keralam in collaboration with Department of Economics and Statistics (DES), Keralam during 28-30 October 2026.
The IIP is a key indicator of industrial performance, tracking changes in performance of industrial sector in economy. It is widely used by policymakers, economists, businesses and investors to assess trends in industrial activity and support informed decision-making. The index also serves as an important input in estimating overall economic growth.
