TRIPURA HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON SRI ANARJEET RAY V/S THE STATE OF TRIPURA

AGARTALA, India, May 27 -- Tripura High Court issued the following order/judgement on April 27:

Heard learned counsel of both sides.

During hearing Mr. Raju Datta, learned PP submits that a petition for custody trial of the accused was filed by the Investing Officer on 28.02.2026 before the learned Special Judge, Khowai Judicial District. However, the same has not been disposed of till date.

As it appears, such petition has been pending for more than 1 and half months. In the order passed by the learned Special Judge dated 03.03.2026, there is no mention about filing of such petition by the Investigating Officer.
