A network of trained grassroots workers forms the backbone of decentralized service delivery. These workers support the implementation of government programmes, mobilize communities, and provide timely assistance at the village level. Across the country, more than 9 lakh Community Resource Persons (CRPs), along with ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers, Swachhagrahis, Awaas Mitras, and other frontline workers, are bridging the gap between institutions and rural households. Out of the 9 lakh CRPs, nearly 4.08 lakh are livelihood CRPs supporting agriculture, livestock, fisheries, forest produce, and enterprise development.
