India's toy industry reflects a unique blend of cultural heritage, innovation, and manufacturing growth. With a legacy spanning thousands of years, traditional toys continue to support artisans, preserve craftsmanship, and sustain livelihoods. Strong domestic demand, driven by a young population, rising incomes, and growing preference for educational toys, is creating new opportunities. Government initiatives such as the National Action Plan for Toys, international exhibitions, ODOP, have strengthened domestic manufacturing.
