The Government has launched the Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan to make water conservation a mass movement in the country. The Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari (JSJB) initiative, launched on 6th September, 2024 under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain (JSA: CTR) campaign, is special effort to strengthen community and private sector participation in water conservation through the construction of low-cost artificial recharge structures such as rooftop rainwater harvesting systems, recharge pits and the revival of defunct borewells.
