The Reserve Bank of India has today released the draft Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks - Prudential Norms on Capital Adequacy) Eleventh Amendment Directions, 2026, which propose to amend 'Chapter VII: Leverage Ratio framework' of the Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks - Prudential Norms on Capital Adequacy) Directions, 2025. The amendment endeavours to implement the latest leverage ratio framework ('Leverage Ratio 2017 Standard') issued by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.
