The proposed National Youth Policy 2026 represents a strategic evolution in India's approach to youth development by aligning the aspirations, capabilities, and participation of young people with national development priorities under the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Building on the foundational framework of the earlier National Youth Policy 2014, the new policy moves beyond a broad guiding approach to a more structured, outcome-oriented paradigm.
