PATNA HIGH COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON PANKAJ KUMAR V/S THE STATE OF BIHAR AND OTHERS

PATNA, India, July 1 -- Patna High Court issued the following judgment on June 27:

1. The petitioner has filed the Writ petition for the following reliefs:

"i. To quash the notice vide memo no- 387 dated 21.03.2017 issued by the District Manager, Nalanda for furnishing of bank guarantee of Rs. 92,91,947.94 (Annexure-6) equal to the cost of Custom Rice Mill by misinterpreting the Hon'ble passed Apex Court order, passed in Special Leave Application no. 1779 (Crl) of 2016 dated 28.02.2016.

ii. To quash the notice vide memo no- 464 dated 25.03.2017 issued by the District Manager, Nalanda for furnishing of bank guarantee of Rs. 92,91,947,94 (Annexure-8) equal to the cost of Custom Rice Mill of 2011-12 by misinterpreting Court order and direct...
