CUTTACK, India, May 1 -- Orissa High Court issued the following order on March 31:
1. The appellant in the present appeal challenges the judgment, order of conviction and sentence dated 24.05.2024 passed by the learned 3 rdAdditional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (N.D.P.S.), Berhampur, Ganjam in Case No. 2(a) C.C. 29 of 2023 (N), whereby the appellant has been convicted under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) of the N.D.P.S. Act and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10 (ten) years and to pay a fine of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh), and in default of payment of fine, to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 1 (one) year.
