In a major breakthrough against an international synthetic drug trafficking network, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has busted an international drug syndicate involved in the smuggling of Captagon under Operation RAGEPILL . Approximately 227.7 kg of Captagon tablets/powder were seized and a Syrian national illegally residing in India, linked to the syndicate, was arrested. Captagon primarily contains phenylalanine and amphetamine, which are narcotic substances under the NDPS Act.
