JABALPUR, India, March 19 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Feb. 17:
1. Petitioner seeks direction to the respondents for relocation of the liquor shop which is allegedly situated near the temple, Mosque and Buddha Vihar. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said shop is located within the prohibited distance as stipulated by the Excise Policy.
2. This contention is disputed by Mr. Swapnil Ganguly, learned Deputy Advocate General appearing for respondents/State. He submits that in all cases due consideration is given to the Excise Policy and it is ensured that no liquor vend is opened contrary to the Excise Policy.
