JHARKHAND HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON BHARAT COKING COAL V/S THE PRESIDING OFFICER AND ANR.

RANCHI, India, Dec. 11 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Nov. 11:

1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The instant writ application was preferred assailing the award dated 07.10.2002 passed by the Central Government Industrial Tribunal No.2 at Dhanbad in Ref. No. 135/1987. The terms of reference by the Government is extracted hereinbelow:

"Whether the action of the Management of Gandudih Colliery of Kusunda Area of M/s. Bharat Coking Coal Limited, Dhanbad in dismissing Sri Jugal Turi and Ganesh Kole alias Jagdish Kole, Timber Mistry of Gondudih Colliery with effect from 30.10.86 1s justified? If not to what relief these workmen are entitled?"
