India, Sept. 19 -- The Government of India has issued a release:
Indian Railways has approved the construction of a four-lane Road Over Bridge (ROB) in lieu of Level Crossing No. 53 at Km 62/2-4 on the Udhna-Ukai Songadh section of Western Railway, at a total cost of Rs.133.2295 crore, on a cost-sharing basis with the State Government.
The ROB will be a four-lane structure. The Railway bridge portion will comprise an Open Web Girder (OWG), with an estimated cost of Rs.91.60 crore.
The crossing location has a 62% skew, which significantly increases design and construction complexity.
