GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDERS ON SHANTA DEY AND AND 92 ORS V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM AND 3 ORS.

GUWAHATI, India, Nov. 24 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on Oct. 24:

Mr. A. Phukan, learned Standing Counsel, appearing on behalf of Mr. P. N. Sharma, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents in Elementary Education Department, prays for an adjournment, as Mr. P. N. Sharma is out of station on account of medical emergency.

Prayer is allowed.

However, it appears from the office note, dated 23.10.2025, that the cost, imposed by this Court vide order dated 16.09.2025, has not yet been deposited before the Gauhati High Court Employee's Welfare Fund.
