GUWAHATI, India, Nov. 24 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on Oct. 24:

1. On 08.05.2024, the learned counsel appearing for the Finance and Taxation Department, had submitted that, they are received the instructions and would file their affidavit-in-opposition within a period of 2 (two) weeks time. However, no affidavit has been filed till now.

2. Mr. B. Barua, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. B. Choudhury, learned standing Counsel, Finance and Taxation Department has submitted that they are in the process of reconstructing the file, which was misplaced inadvertently and therefore, prays for a further period of 2 (two) weeks time to file the affidavit-in-opposition.
