India, Sept. 25 -- The Government of India has issued a release:
Sandeep (name changed), 33, grew up in a supportive family in Assam. After studying through Class 9, he moved to Guwahati to stay with his aunt and seek work. He learned to drive and began earning a living, but substance use, which began under peer influence, gradually developed into dependency.
His health, work and relationships suffered. Much of his income went towards substance use, leaving him under financial strain and increasingly isolated. Sandeep wanted to recover, regain his family's trust and become financially independent. His family continued to encourage him to seek help.
