Timely fellowship support enables scholars from disadvantaged communities to continue their studies, complete their research and build meaningful academic careers.
Dr. Anik Saha, a 33-year-old scholar from the Scheduled Caste community - Sunri (including Saha) - overcame severe financial difficulties with support under the National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students. The fellowship enabled him to complete his Ph.D. and pursue a career in research.
After the demise of his father, Dr. Saha's family faced an extremely difficult financial situation. With limited resources available for his education, he taught private tuition classes in the evenings to pay his academic fee...
